Hanover, PA (June 13, 2023) – Norris put together another solid night at Lincoln Speedway on Saturday during the 2nd Annual Elijah Hawkins Memorial. With the PA Speedweek format being utilized, time trials started off the night with Dylan timing second quickest overall, “I felt a bad vibration in time trials, but the motor ran well and the car felt good and we were able to put down a good lap.”
As the fastest car in his heat race, Norris lined up fourth and that is where he would finish. Dylan’s fourth place finish put him in the redraw for the feature, “We had a decent car in the heat race and I didn’t have to push too hard because I knew we had to finish in the top six to make the redraw.”
Dylan redrew the five, which had him start fifth for the $7,000 to win 35-lap feature. Norris stayed inside the top five for the first ten laps, and then fell back to sixth where he would finish, “We had a pretty good racecar in the feature, I just didn’t move around enough at the beginning because it got too abrasive. Then I just fell in line and finished sixth.” It was Norris’ seventh top 10 finish at Lincoln of the season and his fourth in a row, “It was another decent night, just wish we could have moved up a little more in the feature. We learned what we need to do next time.” Dylan’s consistency in the pigeon hills has him sitting second in points.
