Hanover, PA (May 30, 2022) – Memorial Day weekend started early for Dylan Norris and the Gobrecht Motorsports team on Thursday at Selinsgrove Speedway. After timed hot laps for the 20 cars on hand, Norris lined up seventh for his heat race and he would finish seventh. Dylan would start the 25-lap feature 14th driving forward to finish 10th. “Selinsgrove was ok. It was good to end with a top 10 finish after struggling with a fast racetrack all night.” After the rough weekend before, the team had a bent car and a motor with a lot of races on it that they wanted to shake down, and everything worked well on Thursday night.

The Bob Leiby Memorial at Lincoln on Saturday saw a field of 35 sprint cars. Norris started his heat race from sixth and finished second, putting himself in the handicap for the feature. Dylan started the 30-lap feature eighth. Norris was up to third by lap 5 and was running second on lap 12. Dylan got by Brie Hershey for the lead on lap 17 and never looked back. Norris added a Lincoln Speedway 410 sprint car win to his resume. It was Norris’ second 410 win of the season and his career. “Saturday’s win means a lot because I’ve had some good runs but have never been able to pull off many wins at Lincoln.” Winning from mid-field was no easy feat, “Having to win from eighth is cool because I feel I had to earn it.”

SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT: AL Driveline

When you increase Diameter and decrease Weight of a shaft, you increase its Critical Speed. The Critical Speed of a rotating shaft is the speed in which it begins to operate with strong resonant vibrations and becomes unstable. In terms of a Sprint Car Drive Shaft, this is when the drive shaft starts to turn into a vibrating jump rope, which typically leads to premature U joint failure. Titanium is extremely Forgiving, as its fatigue resistance and High Tensile Strength makes for a properly designed Drive Shaft.

AL Driveline’s Titanium Drive Shafts have the perfect balance of Weight, Strength and Forgiveness of any drive shaft available, PERIOD.
