Hanover, PA – Lincoln Speedway took advantage of a 75 degree day in February and moved the 2023 Ice Breaker from Saturday to Thursday. Dylan and the Gobrecht Motorsports Team were there to kick off the 2023 season in front of packed crowd. Dylan started seventh and finished seventh in his heat on Thursday night. His heat race finish lined him up 19th for the 30-lap feature. Norris worked his way through the field to finish 12th which earned him hard charger honors. “I felt really good Thursday, our car had speed all night we just got buried with a bad pill draw and a narrow race track.” Despite being in traffic for most of the feature, Norris put down the fourth fastest lap of the feature. With low temperatures forecasted for Saturday, Lincoln pulled the plug on the original Ice Breaker date. Lincoln picked back up on Sunday afternoon with their first day race of the year. Dylan had the fastest time in hot laps on Sunday and then went on to drive from fifth to third in his heat race putting him in the redraw, “Sunday was a solid day for us. We were able to go forward in the heat race and get into the redraw which was pretty crucial.” Norris drew the outside of the front row for the feature start and had the lead on the first lap before the caution came out lining the field up for a complete restart.
