Hanover, PA (September 19, 2022) – Dylan Norris kicked off the three-day Dirt Classic weekend on Thursday night at BAPS Motor Speedway. Norris timed fourth quickest in his group during timed hot laps with a lap of 15.182 seconds which put him on the pole for his heat race. Dylan won his heat and made the redraw. Norris drew the five to start fifth in the 30-lap feature. Norris fell back to ninth mid-race but came back up to start off the weekend with an eighth place finish. On Friday night Dylan timed 15th quick out of 33 cars with a lap of 16.779 seconds at Williams Grove. With the All Star’s format, Norris lined up seventh for his heat race, behind the top three fastest cars from time trials, which happened to be in his group. Dylan finished seventh in his heat and would have to run the B-main. Norris finished second in the B-main qualifying him for the 30-lap feature. Norris lined up 22nd for the start of feature and was up to 14th at one point before pulling into the pits with an engine issue. The Gobrecht Motorsports made quick repairs and sent Dylan back out on the track but Norris pulled in on lap 10 and was scored 21st. Dylan now sits third in the championship point stands at Williams Grove. Saturday night was the $20,000 to win Dirt Classic IX at Lincoln Speedway.
