Hanover, PA (March 7, 2022) – Dylan Norris kicked-off his 2022 campaign at Lincoln Speedway with the Ice Breaker on February 27 competing in a field of 34 cars. Norris started off the season making the feature redraw with a second-place finish in his heat race. Norris drew a five for the 30-lap feature but ended up with a DNF after contact with the wall in turn 4 on lap 26.
The Gobrecht Motorsports team was back in action for their first two-race weekend of the season. They kicked things off in the pigeon hills Saturday afternoon with 41 sprint cars pit-side. Norris put on an impressive display in his heat race, battling with Tyler Ross for the top spot for most of the 10-laps. Norris would end up with the win, earning himself a spot in the redraw for the second week in a row. Luck was not on Norris’ side when he pulled the #11 for his feature starting spot. Dylan ran as high as ninth during the middle of the 30-lap feature and would cross the line 10th, earning his first top 10 of the season.
Dylan and the team then switched gears for Sunday and got the #44 ready to race on a half-mile at Port Royal Speedway. Norris’ draw lined him up fourth in the fifth heat race. Norris lost a spot to Port Royal, regular, Blane Heimbach at the start of the race, but held off Parker Price-Miller and Curt Stroup to finish fifth, just one spot shy of making the feature. The B-main saw Norris battle with the likes of Parker Price-Miller and Zeb Wise, two All Star Circuit of Champions regulars. Norris held off a late race charge from Billy Dietrich to hold on to an 11th place finish, missing the feature by five spots in a field of 42 cars.

Dylan Norris and the Gobrecht Motorsports team will be back in action at Lincoln Speedway on Saturday, March 12 with racing scheduled to start at 3PM. The team will then head to Williams Grove on Sunday, March 13 for their season opener at 2PM.
