Hanover, PA (May 22, 2023) – Dylan Norris parked the Gobrecht Motorsports Team #44 back in victory lane at Lincoln Speedway on Saturday night, just a week shy of the anniversary of his first career win in the pigeon hills. The win came in between two solid top 10 finishes at Williams Grove and BAPS.

Norris started the three-race weekend at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night. The format included timed hot laps where Dylan was fastest in his group, lining him up second for his heat race. Norris finished second in the heat and was handicapped into the second starting spot for the 25-lap feature, “Friday night was decent. The track conditions were not in our favor but we still were able to set quick time in our group and finish second in the heat.” Dylan ran third for the first ten laps and then fell back to finish seventh against a stout field of cars, “We just got beat by six better guys. I still have to get better and the we have to get the car better when the track slicks up like it was on Friday night.”

After a lengthy rain delay Dylan went out for his heat race lined up seventh and finished second putting him in the handicap for the feature line-up. Norris started the 30-lap feature from sixth place and was up to second by lap 8. Dylan made the pass for the lead coming out of turn 4 on lap 13. Once he took the lead, Norris never looked back and took the checkered flag by 3.755 seconds, “It felt really good to get the win. I feel like we should have 2 or 3 wins by now, but things just haven’t been going our way. We’ve had the speed all year but luck has not been on our side.” As good as Norris has been at Lincoln, he’s been just as good if not better at Williams Grove this season, “I figured our first win of the season would come at the Grove. The win definitely gives us some momentum going into the rest of the season and hopefully we are not done winning yet.”

Sunday at BAPS the night started with timed hot laps where Dylan timed second quickest in his group lining him up third for his heat race. Dylan finished third in the heat and made the redraw for the feature where he picked the five pill. Norris got to second early in the race and would eventually cross the line seventh, “Sunday was ok but again the track conditions were not in our favor. The feature we had a really good car but the rear nose wing straps snapped off causing the front wing to fold down making the car a handful to drive. I feel we had a solid top 5 car if we didn’t have the wing mishap.”
