Hanover, PA (July 25, 2022) – The World of Outlaws made their second trip of the 2022 season to Central PA for the Summer Nationals at Williams Grove this past weekend. Dylan Norris and the Gobrecht Motorsports team competed both Friday and Saturday nights against the traveling series.

Friday night started with Norris qualifying 12th out of 36 cars with a lap of 17.695 seconds which lined Dylan up third for his heat race. Dylan finished third in his heat qualifying him for Friday night’s feature. Norris started 12th in the feature and fell back to 15th but worked his way up to a 13th place finish with a last lap pass. After Friday night’s racing action, Norris regained the season points lead over Freddie Rahmer.

Prior to Saturday’s racing program, DIRTVision caught up with Dylan in the pits to chat about his battle for the track championship at the historic Williams Grove Speedway, “It would mean the world. I’m pretty sure I’d be the youngest to ever do it. It shows how good we can be at this track week in and week out. If you win a points championship you’re not a car that runs good every once in awhile you have to run good every week. It would show the strengths of our team and be pretty cool to do.”

After a two-hour weather delay at the track, Norris went out and time trialed 17th quick out of 35 cars with a lap time of 17.845 seconds. Dylan started fourth in his heat race and finished fourth, lining him up 16th for the start of the 30-lap, $20,000 to win Summer Nationals feature. Norris would cross the line 13th for the second night in a row. With his fifth place finish, Rahmer regained the points lead at the track.

Sunday the Gobrecht Motorsports team concluded their three-race weekend at BAPS Motor Speedway. Norris timed the quickest in his group with a lap of 16.762 seconds which lined him up fourth for his heat race, where he would finish. Dylan started the 30-lap feature from third and would cross the line fifth as the last car on the lead lap.

UP NEXT: The team will return to Williams Grove this Friday, July 29 at 7:30PM. Also on the schedule this weekend is Lincoln Speedway on Saturday, July 30 with racing at 7:30PM.
