Hanover, PA (May 8, 2023) – After battling Mother Nature for a month, Central PA finally had a decent weekend for racing which started out at Williams Grove on Friday night. With the World of Outlaws coming to town the night started out with time trials. Norris was the second quickest with a lap of 16.392 seconds which put him on the pole for his heat race. Dylan won his heat putting him in the redraw for the feature line-up where he pulled the two pill. Hanover, PA (April 25, 2023) – After a week off from racing at Williams Grove, Dylan Norris was back in action at the famous paper clip in the Gobrecht Motorsports #44 on Friday night. With the Pennsylvania Speedweek format being used for the Tommy Hinnershitz Classic, the night started with time trials. Norris timed eighth quickest out of the 28-car field which lined him up second for his heat race. Norris crossed the line second in his heat which put him eighth for the start of the 30-lap feature. Dylan ran inside the top 10 for most of the main event, but had his tire seal over late in the race, losing grip and inevitably having him fall back to finish thirteenth. Hanover, PA (April 18, 2023) – Dylan Norris and the Gobrecht Motorsports Team opted out of running Williams Grove on Friday night as they got their engine program squared away after last weekend. The Team intended to run Lincoln on Saturday night but racing was canceled due to weather. Sunday night Norris and the team were back in action at BAPS Motor Speedway with 31 cars in competition. Dylan lined up fifth in his heat race and that is where he finished, qualifying for the feature, “We struggled in the heat but ended up finding we had a left rear shock go bad.” Norris started the feature 15th and got caught up in an on-track incident in turns 1 and 2 on the initial start. Hanover, PA (April 10, 2023) – Williams Grove finally got their season opener in on Friday night but to say the night did not go as planned for Dylan and the Gobrecht Motorsports Team would be an understatement. After a third place finish in the point standings in 2022, Norris was looking to come out of the gate strong to back up last year’s success at the famous half-mile. Dylan started the night timing third quickest in his time trial group which put him second for the start of heat 2, but Norris would not be able to make the call for his heat race, “We blew a motor Friday night in warmups and didn’t have one that had enough horsepower to put in to be worth our time.” The team went to work and swapped out motors to get ready for Lincoln on Saturday night. Hanover, PA (March 27, 2023) – In what can only be described as a tough weekend of racing in Central PA that went from one extreme to another, Dylan Norris and the Gobrecht Motorsports Team put their heads down and came out on the other side unscathed with two top 10 finishes. Mother Nature delayed another attempt at the Williams Grove season opener on Friday night and it looked like she might get the best of Lincoln on Saturday but the promoters decided to give the drivers a chance to race. It was the first handicapped show of the season at Lincoln which had Norris lined up sixth for his heat race start. Hanover, PA (March 20, 2023) – After getting rained out at Port Royal and Williams Grove, the first round of the 2023 version of the World of Outlaws vs. the PA Posse took place at Lincoln Speedway on Saturday night. With cold weather forecasted the start time was moved up an hour to 5PM which meant time trials and the heat races took place on what was essentially a day time surface. With 49 cars on hand, Dylan went out 21st in the first flight of time trials. Norris had an ignition problem in warm ups that continued into time trials where he put down a lap time of 14.918, placing him 24th quickest in his flight.
