NORRIS MADES TRIP EAST TO BRIDGEPORT FOR SPRINTOBERFEST
Hanover, PA (November 1, 2022) – Dylan Norris made the trip east to New Jersey this past weekend to Bridgeport Motorsports Park for their SprintOberfrest. Norris got behind the wheel of Mark VanVorst’s #34 360 sprint car to compete with the URC Sprint Series. Dylan started Saturday night timing eight quick in his time trial group with a lap time of 14.903 seconds. Norris started ninth in the 15-lap qualifier and ran eighth for the entire race. On Sunday Dylan lined up fifteenth for the start of the 40-lap URC feature. Norris fell back to eighteenth at the start of the race and would get to the checkered flag in fourteenth and was scored one lap down. NORRIS NAMED WILLIAMS GROVE SPEEDWAY MOST IMPROVED DRIVER
Hanover, PA (October 24, 2022) – Friday night Dylan Norris and the Gobrecht Motorsports team competed in the “Night Before” at BAPS Motor Speedway. The night started with time trials in hot laps. Norris timed fourth in his group with a lap of 15.374 seconds putting him on the pole of his heat. Dylan finished third qualifying him for the $6,000 to win feature. Norris started the feature 10th and would cross the line ninth. After waiting three weeks, the $75,000 to win National Open was held at Williams Grove on Saturday night. AS SEASON WINDS DOWN NORRIS CONTINUNES TO RACK UP TOP 10s; FINISHES SECOND IN POINTS AT LINCOLN
Hanover, PA (October 17, 2022) – With the 2022 season winding down, Dylan Norris and the Gobrecht Motorsports Team had a one-race weekend. Norris competed in the final race of the season at Lincoln Speedway which was run following the PA Speedweek format. Norris timed 12th quickest out of the 35 cars on hand with a lap time of 13.739 seconds. Dylan lined up second for the start of his heat race and that is where he would finish, setting him up for a ninth place starting spot in the 30-lap feature. Norris ran sixth until lap 10 when he fell back to seventh which is where he would finish. It would be Dylan’s 14th top 10 finish at Lincoln of the season. NORRIS SCORES TOP 10 FINISH IN BRIAN MONTIETH CLASSIC; RETURNS TO 358 SPRINT DIVISION
Hanover, PA (October 10, 2022) – Moved from it’s original date of Tuesday to Thursday due to Hurricane Ian, Dylan Norris competed in the Brian Montieth Classic at Lincoln Speedway. Norris timed fifth quickest out of the 36-car field with a lap time of 13.373 seconds. Using the PA Speedweek format, Norris lined up on the pole of his heat and would win, putting him in the redraw. Dylan drew the three for the 35-lap feature. Norris ran fifth at the start of the race and fell back as far as ninth and crossed the line eighth. With his eighth place finish, Norris sits second in the season point standings going into the final race of the season. NORRIS SHOWS SPEED ON OPENING NIGHT OF NATIONAL OPEN
Hanover, PA (October 4, 2022) – What was slated to be the biggest weekend of racing in Central PA this year turned into a rain shortened Friday night feature due to Tropical Storm Ian. Prior to the rain, Dylan Norris and the Gobrecht Motorsports team showed speed and qualified for the feature in a field of 51 cars. Norris was 11th fastest in flight 2 during time trials with a lap time of 16.900 seconds which lined him up sixth for his heat race. Norris finished fifth in his heat, putting him in the $10,000 to win 25-lap feature. Dylan lined up 18th for the start of the feature and after 10 laps, which included a caution, red flag and rain delay, Norris was scored with a 21st place finish. NORRIS’ LOOKS TO CLOSE OUT BREAKOUT SEASON AT WILLIAMS GROVE WITH NATIONAL OPEN
Hanover, PA (September 26, 2022) – Friday night Dylan Norris and the Gobrecht Motorsports Team were at Williams Grove for their Outlaw Tune-up to prepare for this coming weekend’s National Open. Norris made the Friday night show in 2021 but failed to qualify for Saturday’s $75,000 to win feature. With one win at the famous ½-mile in 2022, and a battle for the track championship, Norris is looking to close out the season at Williams Grove with a start in Saturday’s National Open. On Friday Norris timed seventh quick out of 19 cars with a lap of 16.962 seconds. Norris started third in his heat and finished third. Dylan’s heat race finish lined him up seventh for the start of the 25-lap feature. Norris ran fifth for most of the feature but had a tire going flat when the red flag came out with two laps to go.
